French Pedophilia Haye jailed

KATHMANDU DEC 19 2010 Justice has finally been delivered to Nepali victims of French Pedophile Jean Jacques Haye, who sexually abused children in his shelter that he illegally operated in Kathmandu nearly two decades ago. In a landmark decision, the French Criminal Court – the Assizes court of Paris – sentenced Haye, 61, to 10 year in prison and provide compensation up to Rs. 1 million to each victim for raping and sexually abusing them. A French embassy official in Kathmandu confirmed the ruling that was made on Nov. 9 this year. Haye had arrived in Nepal on a tourist visa and committed crimes in the guise of doing humanitarian work. He was arrested in 1999 and banished from Nepal in 2002. Later, a case was filed in a French court jointly by Infants and development and Planet Infants, two French organizations in association with Voice of Children, a Nepal-based organization. The Court sent him behind bars for 2 years, but he was later freed under judicial supervision. In June 2004, he fled France and returned to Nepal to again operate a shelter home under a different name and commit the same crimes. In March 2009, Haye was arrested for a second time from the Gokarna-based shelter along with his Nepali wife. He was charged and convinced if illegally staying in Nepal. Bij then, he already had an Interpol arrest warrant in his name. He was allowed to go free after paying a fine of Rs 700,000. When he returned to France, the authorities there reopened his case file. Krishna Thapa, Director of Voice of Children, who has been closely working with the victims had gone to France along with six victims and rights activists in November to testify on the abuses perpetrated by Haye from 1985 to 2001 inside the Association of children of Chhauni that he had ostensibly established for orphans and street children. The testimonies were crucial in his conviction. Welcoming the French court’s decision, child rights defenders rued Nepal legal system that continues to release pedophiles. Thapa said Haye was freed by a Nepali court in 2002 despite evidence to prove his guilt. “The victims were coerced into changing their statements, and powerful people used their influence to let Haye off the hook,” said Thapa. A source said a Panchayat regime controversial minister Radheshyam Kamaro’s name had come to the fore an an active defender of Haye. Kamaro is the same man who is still running Haye’s old shelter now renamed Asahaya Bal Upakar Sangh.

Victims’ scars unlikely to heal

Suman Karki (name changed) was just a minor when he was sexually assaulted by Haye for seven years. The French court’s decision comes as a big relief to him and a salve of sorts against chronic mental trauma. Karki, 24, who is now struggling in the Capital to make both ends meet, has difficulty espressing his feelings. The respite is stained by the memories of his horrific experience. “It was a nightmare, and the verdict can never heal our trauma,” said Karki. Most of the visibly upset victims neither want to recall those sickening moments nor talk about the fear of social stigma. Krishna Thapa, Director of Voice of Children, said, “All victims want to forget their past. They fear that revelation of the truth will ruin their lives as same of them are married and into different professions.”

My Thoughts

Suman a orphan and or an street boy, now 24, (7 years ago he was 17) did not take any action, not by the first or 2nd time, he was ‘misused’ by Haye for seven years. Now he has difficulty expressing his feelings. Surely he will say ‘it was a nightmare’ and that The French court’s decision came as a big relief to him. And perhaps he has to state it, in fear of being beating up by the police. How the journalist can hear or write ‘for 7 years i had a great relation with Haye, that’s why i did not even try to escape, and surely i did not filed a complain by the nearest police station, and cause i really enjoyed it, i was not seeking any other home. No! with Haye it was fun. I want to thank him for shelter, food, all the cloth and gifts.’ Such saying’s will never been publicized, in case Suman should have told that, the newspaper should go to someone who should talk bad about Haye. And if they couldn’t find one, they may write their own thoughts, may in an alter ego name, Suman Karki of Baburam Kharel the writer of his part (news) in the newspaper. Surely to be fucked for +/- 2556 times in 7 years (daily once) is a pain in the ass. We likes to ask Suman if after ‘his older lover’ is gone did he turned to be gay? And if he did not liked ‘the love making’ from Haye, why he stayed there so long time? Also strange that if a not Nepali is charged with such case, it will be front page news, Nepali’s a such brave people, it never utter in the head of doing such things as Haye? As far we know, it’s has happen, it’s a happening, and it will happen in all counties of the world, so to be honest we will ask the newspaper to publicize (on the front page) same cases, but now the Nepali ‘as bad colored’. I could read not long ago, about underage girls (13,14,15,17) in Kathmandu, how worked in the sex section. One of the girls said ‘In my village i do not have a job, and now i have and makes more and easy money’. Than bout the ‘compensation up to Rs. 1 million to each victim for raping and sexually abusing them.’ What has happen with ‘the lucky one’ who got Rs. 1 million? Do he lives in richness now, or does he still lives a poor boy/man life? All kinds of questions we have, but no answer (right now). What we know from the girls, they went to their work again. The police was unable to stop them. note : That moment it wasn’t frontage news.

Now, more or less mean to be a serious joke… it’s good for the economy, most of the money, to created shelters, properly from foreigner donations. the compensation and the fine where extra. Now Nepal will get better roads?, will get better electricity supply? – btw, when no electricity, no TV ad’s can be watched. The Answer we know already, other child lovers are warned.

One more thing, I never met ‘French Pedophile’ Jean Jacques, never spoken with the boy(‘s) and surely not with Mr. Baburam Kharel anyone is allowed to reply, we hate censure, we love it if people can utter their truth, or better the truth.
